Why & Tanzania
FATI EXPO 2026
Tanzania is the strategic host and gateway.
FATI remains a continental trade and investment platform designed to attract Africa and the world.
-
Strategic Gateway
Tanzania connects East Africa, the Indian Ocean and international markets, creating a strong bridge for African trade and investment and access to landlocked neighbouring economies.
-
Investment Opportunities
Zanzibar offers significant opportunities across tourism, the blue economy, agriculture, infrastructure, manufacturing and emerging sectors, supported by a dedicated investment promotion authority.
-
Strong Sector Alignment
Tanzania and Zanzibar align naturally with FATI's priority sectors, including tourism, hospitality, agriculture, real estate, mining, energy, sports and the blue economy.
-
From Conversation to Transactions
Coordination with ZIPA allows FATI to connect investors directly with government, businesses, verified projects and investment facilitation services.
-
Coastal Africa and the Indian Ocean Economy
Zanzibar provides a strategic platform to explore the economic potential of Africa's coastal cities and the wider Indian Ocean economy, from marine tourism to fisheries and maritime logistics.
-
Africa to Africa Investment
FATI demonstrates the potential for African capital, businesses and institutions to invest, trade and build partnerships within the continent, starting with a Nigeria and Tanzania corridor.
In Coordination with ZIPA
The Zanzibar Investment Promotion Authority is the government agency responsible for promoting and facilitating investment in Zanzibar. Its coordination role in FATI EXPO 2026 gives investors a direct line to official investment guidance, sector priorities and facilitation support, and gives the host government a structured platform to present its investment agenda to a continental audience. ZIPA's leadership delivers the Host Country Investment Address on Day One, and the Investing in Tanzania couch in the Themed Business Lounge is designed as a continuing point of contact throughout the Expo.
For Nigerian and other African investors, the Expo offers a practical route into an economy positioned at the meeting point of the East African Community, the Southern African Development Community and Indian Ocean trade routes.
